Establishment of existential security as a phenomenon of human consciousness

Abstract

Understanding the significance of the problem of preserving human existence as a planetary phenomenon and the dual role of consciousness in this process calls for an analysis of security as a phenomenon of human consciousness. The disclosure of the phenomenological content of existential security is carried out on the basis of the discourse of philosophical ideas of postmodern E. Husserl, M. Heidegger, J. Derrida, J.-F. Lyotard, N. Hartman, J. Baudrillard, P. Tillich, J.-P. Sartre, E. Cassirer, E. Levinas. It is substantiated that the semantic component of security, as a phenomenon of consciousness, is formed in the process of unfolding and enriching meanings from protosense to metasense. The semantic unit of the constitution of existential security is the proto-sense, which is formed as a response to the actualization of the existential "fear" caused by an existential threat to the life world. This phenomenon causes the generation of the primary impulse of human activity, aimed at preserving the life world. The meta-meaning is imagined as a transcendent horizon of deployment of all possible meanings of security, as an intersubjective reality, a phenomenon of collective consciousness, immanently carrying the cultural codes of human existence. Transcendent, universal meanings of life are reflected and fixed in universal civilizational values, act as the ultimate metaphysical foundations of human existence. Correspondence of the goal and value settings of institutionalized security systems to the universal and timeless meaning of life is considered as an immanent condition for the preservation of human existence and a regulatory imperative of human activity. Turning to the inner world, to the meaning of life, value imperatives, as a mental basis for understanding security problems and making responsible decisions for the benefit of humanity, allows to expand the possibilities of identifying and correlating sources of threats rooted in the person himself, his consciousness, primarily in the modern realities of the confrontation in Ukraine Russian military aggression.
