Publication policy of the Editor-in-Chief and editorial board members

The Journal "Мultiversum. Philosophical almanac" adheres to the principles of editorial independence, transparency, and international publication ethics standards, in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) – Editor as Author (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) – Recommendations (ICMJE).

 

Publication procedure of the editor-in-chief and members of the editorial board:

- The Editor-in-Chief and members of the editorial board may submit their own articles to the journal.
- Such materials undergo a standard review procedure, including double "blind" review.
- To ensure objectivity, an independent editor is appointed who has no conflict of interest with the authors.
- Reviewers are selected from among external experts who are not members of the editorial board.
- The final decision on publication is made by the independent editor after receiving the reviews.

Principles of Independence:

- The Editor-in-Chief and members of the Editorial Board do not participate in making decisions regarding their own publications.
- All materials are evaluated solely on the basis of scientific value, relevance to the journal's topic, and compliance with ethical standards.
- Conflicts of interest must be declared and eliminated at all stages.

 

Editor-in-Chief

  • Recuses from the editorial process when handling manuscripts they have authored or co-authored.
  • To review a manuscript where the editor-in-chief is an author or co-author, the editorial board appoints an independent editor who has no conflict of interest.
  • Manuscripts authored by the Editor-in-Chief undergo the standard double-blind peer review process with the involvement of external reviewers.

Editorial Board Members

  • Members of the Editorial Board recuse from participation in the editorial process for manuscripts they have submitted.
  • The manuscript is reviewed by an independent editor who has no conflict of interest and is not affiliated with the author.
  • The manuscript of a member of the editorial board undergoes a standard procedure of double anonymous peer review with the involvement of external reviewers.
  • Publication statistics of Editorial Board members are monitored regularly to prevent disproportionate representation in the Journal.

Editorial Staff

  • Editorial staff are required to adhere to the same principles of independence and conflict-of-interest management as Editorial Board members.
  • The manuscript of the editorial staff undergoes a standard procedure of double anonymous peer review with the involvement of external reviewers.
