Анотація
Фундаментальна проблема історичного знання пов’язана з відсутністю достовірності, повноти й остаточності. Цей недолік призводить до принципової можливості не лише різних ієрархій значущості одних і тих самих подій і фактів, а й узагалі до несумісних тверджень, унаслідок чого єдина Історія як певний статус-кво і процес перетворюється на безліч «історій», які аргументаційно та інтерпретаційно конкурують між собою. Однак перспективи перемоги в такому конкурентному протистоянні певного дослідницького (точніше – герменевтичного) підходу є доволі примарними, оскільки відсутня критеріальна верифікація для зведення цих, висловлюючись терміном арифметики, «дробів» до того «спільного знаменника», який виконуватиме консенсусну функцію змістовного й значеннєвого арбітражу. Як наслідок – різні інтерпретативні підходи перетворюються на своєрідні мимобіжні прямі, які функціонують в автономному режимі й приречені на те, щоб не перетинатися один з одним у просторі предметного дискутивного поля. Значно вагоміший наслідок пов’язаний з тим, що сфера історичного знання перетворюється на середовище безальтернативного релятивізму, ставлячи під сумнів науковий статус історичної когнітивістики (щонайменше – в багатьох предметних сферах). За таких реалій об’єктивно й закономірно актуалізується значення філософії як верифікатора історичного знання: оскільки філософія виконує функцію своєрідного провідника смислів і значень, то вона не лише може, а й повинна зробити вагомий внесок у надання історичній когнітології ознак якщо не консенсусної, то хоча б конвенційної виразності, несуперечливості й переконливості.
