Abstract

The article defines the essence of understanding the problem of freedom in the stream of ideas of a social agreement. Particular emphasis was made on trying to understand the conditions and principles for the free pursuit of true consent, which is not destroyed by external and internal compulsion, but is constituted by the force of a better argument. The author puts the aim to analyze the possibilities of such an embodiment of the principle of freedom, which would contribute to responsible respect for the dignity of each, and a fair solution of conflicts would take place taking into account the needs of not only close, but also distant people. It is proved that exactly the gradual expansion of the domestic socio-cultural space of freedom as an individual and national release, and existential and theoretical awareness of it as an essential awareness of the responsibility of human existence, actualizes the newest philosophical discourses of freedom embodied in works of native ones (Ye.Bystrytsky, G.Kovadlo, V.Lyakh, M.Popovich), as well as foreign researchers (I.Berlin, A.Wellmer, J.Habermas, O.Hoeffe, Ch.Taylor). The article analyzes the need for the transition from comprehension and ensuring the formal principles and dimensions of freedom to understand its new socio-cultural components. The author concludes that freedom is the fundamental condition of a just decent life, rooted in the absence of humiliation and misery, in honesty with other people and with yourself.
