Abstract

In today’s society of information fundamental questions about nature of action and status of the agent of action remain actual. Actions as reasons for changes in situations rule the processes both in politics and economics. Classical metaphysical questions such as causality and relations between agent and world also arise as the theoretical background. Paper views problems common for metaphysics, analytical philosophy of mind and philosophy of action. Aside from that, possible usage of philsophical ideas for some formal logics (for example logics of action) is investigated. In the process of investigation the paper turns to foundations of philosophy of mind in analytical philsophy of language and conceptualization of the notion of action in formal and philosophical contexts.

The contradictions between existing philosophical doctrines are analyzed among which a central is highlighted – the contrapositioning of the metaphysical determinism and freedom of will which is assumed in philosophy of action and interpreted in specific way in the logic of action. Paper proposes an approach to solving these difficulties in the context of practical usage of philosophy of action ideas in logic. Philosophy of mind naturally develops from analytical philosophy of language and on its part gives birth to philosophy of action. The start of the process of the interconnected influence of the philosophy of action and formal systems devoted to formalization of the behaviour was only the question of time. By now philosophy of action is one of the most pespective directions of development of the analytical philosophy. As many times was pointed in the literature on the topic, so called practical turn in the tradition of the analytical philosophy mirrors the similar turn in the continental tradition. Practical philosophy became one of the most powerful trends in philosophy for last decades. The view on the research on the verge of the philosophy of logic and philosophy of action is this actual not only for formal systems but also from the standpoint of philosophical and historical contextes.
