Abstract
At the panel discussion, there was touched upon a broad range of issues on the possibilities of achieving peace in Ukraine, although the question was vaster formulated: whether it is realistic to prevent war, that is, to remove it from the agenda for humanity in general. The Western European philosophers' concepts supporting Kant's thesis on the possibility of eternal peace, were analyzed. The technological civilization development, which seems to contribute to the spread of aggression and aggressive behavior, was also touched upon. The question of whether it is possible to transform aggression, as well as to channel aggression into more acceptable forms, became the focus of the discussion. There was a suggestion to turn to the coexistence practices inherent in primitive communities. Finding appropriate answers to the challenges posed to humanity by the war in Ukraine was emphasized as an urgent task. Moreover, the question is what humanity is entitled to do to stop the wars that have already started, or to make them extremely costly adventures for those who start them.
