Abstract

The article deals with the cognitive component of identity and professional identity associated with the growing role of science and scientific research in forming a future specialist. The main directions of the scientific influence and research on creating a professional identity in higher educational institutions are identified. The interrelation between professional identity and identity is revealed. A philosophical analysis of identity studies in the national and global dimensions is carried out. Identity's role in forming the future specialist standard is clarified. The role of the educational environment, teaching and educational practices in creating a positive image of science in preparing future specialists are considered. The growing role of scientific research in the educational process contributes to the mastery of new technologies. Future specialists learn to work in modern laboratories. Publication of the results of scientific research brings the training of specialists closer to international standards. The cognitive component of professional identification is growing. The study shows the increasing influence of the cognitive component on the formation of the professional identity of the future specialist. The introduction of cognition and self-knowledge into the cognitive component plays a growing role in the formation of the personality of a student of higher education. Establishing the relationship between cognition and self-knowledge makes it possible to create a closer connection between cognitive activity and personality formation. The research shows the growing importance of cognition and self-knowledge in forming a professional identity. The importance of the personal dimension of professional identification is emphasized. The connection between the personal dimension and the ethical and phenomenological dimensions of self-designing personal and professional self-realization is revealed.
