Abstract

The article gives an account of such an aspect of interpretation as «readingusing» the text to endorse the point of view of the reader-researcher. In this context the focus is on the divergence between the interpretations of the P. Kulish’s works by V. Petrov and D. Chyzhevsky. It is noticed that the D. Chyzhevsky’s approach mainly is attributed to the historical-philosophical tradition while Petrov’s stance is more open-minded with regard to the historical-philosophical canons, in particular to their dependence on the changing process of the intellectual history.
