The author claims that extra-curricular activities have almost the greatest potential to attract students to the arts and their own creativity. After all, it is usually based on interest, initiative, creativity, voluntary participation, individual needs, and talents, and is driven by interest. Moreover, the forms of extra-curricular activities are more open and informal in nature, more dynamic in terms of communication, relationships, and implementation, and include various forms. Among them there are leisure time activities or meetings with cultural figures, poets, masters, artists, debates, oral journals, celebration of memorable dates in the life of departments, faculties, open days of the university, performance of public assignments, volunteer activities, conferences, contests, wits & humour competition, excursions, talks about the history and culture of its people and other countries of the world, work in interest groups, participation in amateur art activities. The proper organization of free time will contribute to the comprehensive development of young people by bringing them closer to the achievements of world culture, will help to overcome the unilateral thinking and judgments, will contribute to the formation of an aesthetic culture through the involvement of future teachers in aesthetic activities, will develop the sensual sphere of personality, the desire for art through familiarity with the beautiful things. The author pays special attention to art, which is mainly a creative field, allowing to assert the inseparable connection between the education of artistic culture and artistic education. This provides an opportunity to create new cultural values for future teachers. Also, thanks to this process, an individual becomes a person. The article analyses the contribution of collective and individual creativity, through which the need for creative self-improvement and self-education is formed, there is a comprehensive development and individual potential of the future specialist.
