The article shows the place of environmental education in the education system in general, provides a definition of the essence of this education its implications for practice in the context of the necessity improving ecological relations, preserving the environment and creating new, not existing yet natural forms. Heuristic activity in the context of nature education produces the necessary amount of knowledge, which to some extent is included in the education system and enlightenment. Education is a universal system of targeted socialization of individuals in society in the form of unity of upbringing and education. This system includes a complex of various problems (social, psychological, environmental), the solution of which, ultimately, is impossible without developing a new concept of education, without using new forms of education, its modern methodological and methodological support. In this context, computer modeling of different stages of the educational process is one of the ways to improve it, which provides a certain opportunity for creative transformation of obsolete forms and techniques. The article highlights the importance of nature as an object of aesthetic, moral, intellectual education and human development. It is emphasized that in the conditions of the global ecological crisis, a reasonable, moral consumption of the resources of terrestrial nature, its preservation for future generations, artificial identification of its potential qualities, in particular in the anthropological context (knowledge of the essence of man as natural), is urgently needed. The author concludes that ecological consciousness and its creative transformative action should be aimed at merging, identifying in the activity of the natural world as subsystems of terrestrial nature with the essence of man.At the same time, the most important goal of environmental education is an the formation of environmental awareness in a person, which integrates knowledge, norms, values and practical recommendations on the issue of human and his attitude to the natural environment.
