Abstract

The article attempts to explore tolerance in Ukrainian socio-cultural environment in the context of the implementation of the principles of church-state relations. It was found that the current strategy of cooperation between the state and the church is a purposeful and systematic process that contributes to the establishment and development of spiritual culture, the formation of the field of tolerance and mutual respect, is aimed at finding mutually acceptable forms and methods for solving a significant number of social and religious issues. Note that the relationship between state and church (or religious organizations) during the impact on the formation of personality can acquire different character depending on many factors, say, the policy regime in power, social activity of religious organizations, internal country factors, including historical and cultural and regional peculiarities of the process of development of a country at a particular point in history and more. In fact, based on a study of postSoviet transformation and globalization measurements church-state relations advisable to substantiate the view that the formation of civil society is not only linked to the principles of differentiation and life-world policies, freedom of religion (tolerance) but inherently performed in the intellectual, spiritual and ethical forms establishment of a democratic political system and governance.
